Music Magazine Task - Feedback Comments

After reading my peer feedback I am very happy with the results. I resalise that I need to put more planning of the front cover making process onto my blog and maybe think about adding a few more features to the left side so my magazine doesn't look as bare.

Music Magazine Task - Peer Feedback (Front Cover)

Claudia Neal:
Your blog is really well set out and has all of your work clearly labelled. I really like your front cover because the mast head is really unique and effective. Furthermore the colours used all stand out against the white background. The text used is effective and the plug and skyline make it more appealing. My only criticism would be that they are quite dark colours so they are not bright and vibrant. If you used brighter colours it would make it more eye catching.

Louise Hudson:
The overall strengths of your drafts are definitely the the masthead and the image. These compliment each other very well and really stand out on the magazine page.
I don't really have any negatives to give as your drafts are some of the best I have seen. But I do think that it could do with a few more features as it looks somewhat empty at points. And this is the only negative and improvement I can suggest as your drafts are fantastic.
Sorry this was brief, but I did it in a rush :)

Joe Bryant:
Your blog is really good, full of pictures and videos rather than just boring text. You have explained a lot of the videos and photos you've put on your blog which is really good. The video of your making of the front cover is a very good idea which I don't think many people will of done so being different like that is very good. I would comment on anything you upload to your blog, photos, videos or mood boards and say why it's good or if what inspiration you've taken from it.
Your front cover is really good, the three colours work very well together and the photo you have used looks really cool. The masthead you have used is great aswell because it is big and bold and you are drawn to it straight away. You have a few blank spaces where you could add some more features to make your front cover look even more lively.

Jeff Agenor:
Overall assessment of the blog:
Alright then Emily from observing your blog I can see that you've been keeping up to date with your coursework. I can see that you've put in alot of effort but there's still some more that you can do.

Strengths of front cover:
I absolutely love your front cover. Great choice of colours: Black, White, Red. Everything is just well arranged and looks pretty good.

What can you do to improve?
What I would suggest you do is to do a bit more by posting your 'planning process' as you must show how did you go about producing your magazine. As well as other things like say more about 'why' did you pick this music genre and why does it inspire you? Furthermore mention your mise en scene locations and costume ideas; talk about why did you choose them. Finally try touching up your music magazine a bit; especially on the left side of it, it looks a bit empty. I would suggest you put more coverlines to fill in that gap then it would be perfect!

James Bruce:
I really like the look of your blog, it is very well displayed and I love the use
of Youtube video's. The only probolem I have with it is the photos and test shots,
they are all displayed in one long stream and it becomes tiresome scrolling through
them all. However the way you have displayed the front cover is very well done.
Your front cover is brilliant, I love the plug on the right and the colour scheme, all in
all very well done. the title is esspecially interesting and really puts the theme of the
magazine across. Infact I dont think there is really any way for you to improve the
front cover it's that good. :)
